Hello everyone, it's Brent and Ashley. We cannot possibly tell you how excited we are to have each and every one of you be a part of our special day! WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!! Sorry for the outburst...in many ways, the reality of it all still has not sunk in yet!
We put this wedding website together for a number of reasons. First of all, we want to share our story with you! The majority of our relationship took place right on the Cal Baptist campus in Riverside, California. Seeing as most of you aren't CBU students, you probably didn't witness our relationship firsthand for any lengthy period of time! Plus, all you females out there always want the ins-and-outs of "How'd he ask??" Don't worry, we've covered the proposal story in detail. (For you males, we have provided Brent's version as well.)
Secondly, we want to give you our registry information at your fingertips. We agreed that bookmarking our website in your Favorites would be a simple feat. Little pieces of paper are not the easiest things to keep track of!
Thirdly, we want to be a resource to our guests. Our wedding is taking place in the East Bay Area in San Ramon, California. Despite the distance some of you may need to travel, we desire to have all of you join in the excitement on August 18th. To help make that happen, Brent and I have provided you with information about hotel options, restaurants, directions, and other logistics that will help make this a fun time for everyone!
Starting a life together is never easy. (Who said it was??) As we spend most of our engagement apart, we are still just uncovering the tip of the iceburg. We would appreciate your prayers for wisdom, discernment, patience, passion, and direction as God continues to use us as individuals during this time apart and as a couple when we will finally be united in marriage under Him!Love you all!

Pray that God will continue to mold and shape me. I ask for a submissive spirit, for a selfless heart, for eyes that see Brent's needs before my own. To have patience in those days where everything seems to be going wrong. To have understanding when his days turn out that same way. To have a listening ear. To have confidence in Christ and to be able to love my husband and submit to him as I am called to submit to God.
"An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.
The heart of her husband trusts in her,
and he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good, and not harm,
all the days of her life...
She opens her hand to the poor
and reaches out her hands to the needy...
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness...
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates."
Proverbs 31:10-12, 20, 26-27, 30-31.

Pray that God will keep growing me as a man. I want to lead Ashley as a godly husband, one that looks out for her and cares for her needs. Pray that He will give me strength and discernment during the simpler and the tougher times. Pray that I will cherish her and the way that I choose to treat her will transfer into my ministry.
"The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church?"
1 Timothy 3:1-5
